“..मुझे रंग दो

रंगरेज़..!”

मोहे रंग लगा दे रे..!”

‘Color me with the colors of love’

‘Color me in the hues of red’

‘Dear One who colors me with love’

It is a common phrase in Hindi and other similar Sanskrit-rooted languages use phrases such as "throw colors", "be colored". " get colored" etc.  They mostly denote an application, an emanation, an execution of emotion of love, of romance, affections that are layered in the multiple hues of emotion we feel for someone we are fond of.

To me, colors are in everything I sense. For the sheer precious gift of having all our five senses, and then the 6th sense which not everyone is blessed to experience or be aware of , there’s immense gratitude in me.

People often say we miss out in life by living in this nation, this time, and this day and age. I disagree; colorfully.

I believe that letting a communal belief, principle, way of life control you only depletes your colors from your spirit. In order to retain color that you’re created by, and to refrain from those shades of you getting latched into life’s dreariness, one must be in constant disciplined and purposeful manner of gratitude.

Gratitude is colorful. When the mind is filled with confident gratitude, the outburst becomes an automated ray of rainbows. It fills you up and makes you less hungry for what the menial crowd craves for.

It seeps into the edges of your spirit and gives you so much self-validation that you give up seeking it from others.

It glows on your skin, so that others similar to your vibe, like-minded, and who are of your tribe, are attracted to you.

Your colors shouldn’t go wasted on negativity- despite where you live, what your culture is like, and how you decide to spend your days and times. They should be explored, exposed, carefully yet fully- brilliantly , and never diminished or limited.

Your colors should live their fullest in and through you.

So throw yourself on the colors, color yourself and those you love, and be colored in return.

It’s time to be audaciously colorful.

It’s time to shine your rainbow.
